League & Draft Setup

Configure the league format, roster, teams, keepers, draft order, timer, sounds, and other settings before launch.

The league wizard groups setup into league settings, teams, draft settings, soundboard settings, and other options. Complete each section before launch and review the summary as a final check.

In this guide

Create a league

From the dashboard, choose Add League and enter the league name. Select the format, scoring source, defensive format, roster slots, and league logo.

The selected team count affects the team editor and every round of the draft order. Confirm it before spending time arranging teams or keepers.

Choose a league format

FormatBest forSetup difference
Re-DraftA new player pool every seasonAll configured players begin available.
KeeperReturning leagues that retain selected playersAssign keepers to teams and choose how keeper pick costs are handled.
RookieRookie-focused drafts for continuing leaguesConfigure the shorter rookie draft and the roster positions your league uses.

Choose the format that matches the rules your league already follows. Changing format later can invalidate keeper assignments or round assumptions, so recheck the teams and draft settings afterward.

Configure scoring and roster positions

Scoring format determines which Average Draft Position ranking source is shown where applicable. Defensive format controls whether the league drafts a team defense, individual defensive players, or both. Kicker remains independently configurable in every defensive format.

Build the roster using the positions and counts your league requires. Flex slots allow more than one eligible position. The number of draft rounds should be sufficient for the configured roster and any keeper-cost rules.

Add teams and owners

For each team, enter the team name and owner name, choose a color, and optionally upload a logo. Arrange teams by draft position after the final participant list is known.

Team owners claim their teams when they join the room; the owner names entered during setup help them choose correctly. Avoid duplicate or nearly identical team names.

Uploaded media must follow the size and file-type guidance shown next to its input. If an upload fails, verify the file locally, rename it with a simple filename, and try again before draft day.

Assign keepers

Keeper leagues can assign players to the team retaining them. Depending on the league's keeper-cost mode, a keeper may consume a specific round or may not cost a draft pick.

Review keeper conflicts before launch. A round cannot hold two incompatible assignments for the same team, and the configuration must leave enough draftable rounds for the league to complete.

Tip: Finish keeper assignments before customizing every round of the draft order. Keeper changes can alter which selections remain available.

Select the draft type and order

  • Snake: the first-round order reverses in the next round and continues alternating.
  • Linear: every round follows the same team order.
  • Custom: assigns the owner of every selection independently, round by round.
  • Auction: rotates nominations through the team order while every eligible team bids from a fixed budget.

For a snake or linear draft, arrange the teams in the desired first-round order and inspect the round preview. For a custom draft, review every round and verify that each selection belongs to the intended team. For an auction, the team order sets the nomination rotation instead of assigning picks; continue with Auction Draft Setup.

Configure rounds, timer, and sounds

Set the number of rounds and the number of seconds allowed for each pick. Choose values that give owners enough time without making the event unnecessarily long.

The draft can also use background music, a pick sound, and configured soundboard reactions.

Review and save

Before launch, confirm:

  • Team count, names, colors, logos, and owners are correct.
  • League format, scoring, defensive format, and roster slots match league rules.
  • Keepers and their costs are valid.
  • Draft order, rounds, and timer are final.
  • Music, pick sounds, and reactions work at an appropriate volume.

Some settings become restricted after a room is launched or a draft has completed. Save changes before opening the live room.
